FuelTech (NASDAQ: FTEK) provides high-performance combustion and post-combustion treatment systems for oil and coal power plants to reduce downtime, improve efficiency, and reduce harmful emissions. ITOCHU announced a partnership with FuelTech in 2007 to jointly market FuelTech's TIFI program for coal-fired power stations in the greater China market.

Solar Depot is an integrator of solar photovoltaic, solar thermal and building-integrated solar systems headquartered in California, serving a state-wide contractor network. ITOCHU acquired Solar Depot in 2007.

Direct Drive Systems, headquartered in Cerritos, CA, is a manufacturer of megawatt-class high-speed motor/generators and power electronics systems for marine, oil and gas, industrial and power generation markets. ITOCHU invested in DDS in 2006 and represents the company in the Japanese market.

Global Technologies LLC commercialized an environmentally benign solvent replacement technology – DryWashTM - developed by Raytheon Corp. and Los Alamos National Labs. The technology utilizes liquefied carbon dioxide and targets replacement of commercial laundry and dry cleaning processes that use toxic chemicals. DryWashTM is an R&D 100 Award winner and has been licensed to several major worldwide OEMs who are selling commercial equipment today incorporating this technology.
